Renovations

Wow, time has been flying fast, especially while we were busy with the renovation of our living room, the kitchen en the construction of an outbuilding in the garden.
Since many years, I had been dreaming of an oak built-in cabinet in the sitting area. My number one company on my list of favourites was Lefèvre Interiors from Wielsbeke. So, we contacted them last year in November and they understood from the start what we were aiming for. In february this year we received the first sketches and bit by bit, during long conversations with the very patient Jan, the project came alive. We also found a very good wooden floorer, Ardeco from Vichte, who installed a perfect hungarian point. The center of the cabinet is a fireplace from Cosyflame, installed by SFIRE.

D-day! This truck contains my dream-cabinet

Result after the first day. You can also see the wooden underfloor and the finished hungarian point in the dining area.

The cabinet, the wooden floor and the fireplace are installed.

The radiator coverings

After painting the walls with green limepaint. The art on the wall is made by my mother.

Once again, the cabinet.

I'm so happy with the result but also glad that finally peace and calm has returned in our home after months of noise, dust and having people in the house.
Thanks to all of you who made this happen!

Have a look at the website of Lefèvre interiors here and the lovely blog of Greet Lefèvre, who owns, together with her husband Jan, the company.
Website of Ardeco, where soon a company movie will be published that shows the installation of our floor.
Website of the installer of the fireplace, SFIRE
Website of the manufacturer of the fireplace Cosyflame, owned by Karl, a real magician when it comes down to create the illusion that the glas fronted gas fire is a real old-fashioned open fireplace.
This was our painter, mr. Opsomer.

Next time I'll show you the kitchen story.
Have a nice weekend!
