Glimmermist

Well, here I am again, the second post within one week and that after months of silence! I wanted to show you some stuff I have made these last months. I'm hooked to glimmermist and I have done some tags that I showed during a demo at Tiny's hobby in Kortrijk.

This first one is inspired by a technique that I saw on Heidi Swap's website, where I used a brayer to mix 3 colors of glimmermist. After that I stamped and embossed with black embossing powder. Stamps from Tim Holtz. I added a metal clock and grungeboard wings. The orange hart is covered with glossy accents to make it shiny.

Next one is the same technique but with soft tones and white embossing powder in combination with brown distress ink.

For this tag I used a design paper from my favourite collection from the House of 3 "Paris anthology". The birdcage is a die from Tim Holtz. The paper has a gray print and also a white shiny design that works as a resist when used with ink or glimmermist. This tag is covered with distress ink.

These christmas tags are based on the same paper line from the house of 3, but this time covered with glimmermist. The lightest one got one layer, the dark one a second layer.

This wallhanger is a piece of cardboard thatI first covered with gesso and then some sprits of glimmer mist and glimmer glaze.

On the last one, I started from a small canvas, covered it again with gesso and a lot of glimmer mist.

I hope you enjoyed the possibilities of glimmermist. There are many many more, the tattered Angels blog is now showing one week of projects where glimmer mist is used on metal. Amazing stuff!!

Where have I been these last months?

Let's not talk about that....Sometimes life drives you to other priorities.
On the Scrapavanti blog, a few things are going on. Next to the weekly challenge for "4 seasons in my life" and the calendar there is also a monthly sketch. This month was my turn and I draw the following:

And this is the lay-out I made.

The lay-outs from the rest of the design team and how you can win a prize, you can see here.

Have a nice Valentine Day tomorrow.
